Basically, you need to avoid increasing blood flow in the scalp area – and this means staying away from activities like squats, jogging, ab workouts or pushups.

Another aspect that might seem a little strange, but that must be avoided is washing your hair in the first 72 hours following the procedure. By complying with this recommendation, you will allow your scalp to heal and recover faster. After that, you’ll be able to wash your hair gently, with circular, soft movements.

Nevertheless, when it comes to shampooing, there are several aspects you should pay attention to. We recommend pouring a few drops of shampoo in a mug, adding water and then gently shake and mix until it foams. Apply the mix to your scalp and then rinse with clean water. Another important detail is that during the first week after the implant you shouldn’t use the shower head to closely to the scalp, because the water has too much pressure.

Lastly, in the recovery period following a hair implant procedure, you can expect some itching. We recommend not scratching and not trying to remove the crusts that might appear, as they are perfectly normal. In a short while, they will disappear on their own.
